Embracing the Sacred Cycle: Honoring What We Release to Welcome What Awaits
Honoring Old Cycles, Embracing New Energies, and Trusting the Journey Forward
We have been moving into a new era, unfolding in perfect timing with the rhythms and cycles of Earth and all her creatures, including us. This new beginning we are all experiencing, consciously or unconsciously, propels us into a life led by soul-spirit knowing and multidimensional communication with our collaborative minds. I often use the term soul-spirit complex to describe when our spirit merges with the fractal hologram of our soul residing in this body, in this life. This whole and vast intelligence is perceived more consciously by the small mind or left-brain ego force, which inevitably results in resistance and inner conflict that reflects in our outer lives.
When we are lovingly pushed to follow our true knowing, we're not simply 'mooing' along a path laid out for us; we're not following as sheep because everyone else is doing it or says it's the way of the future. Instead, an indescribable sense of certainty, alignment, trust, and wisdom leads our experience. The expression 'follow your heart' is profound. I always encourage myself and others to really look at what it means for us in the moment and consider how we might amplify this knowing. Why? Because I personally don't see any other way to live.
Why are you telling us this? You might ask.
Well, I've experienced resistance and confusion rising in the following manifestation. Although one may experience the power and immense brilliance of their own innate healing abilities, there is a strong pull to return to what the mental body and small mind consider science-backed proof of efficacy. I went through this process many years ago. As I describe in my book, Beads of Light, when I first truly experienced my soul's light—that feeling foreign to the mental body, the indescribable knowing of my true nature—I immediately felt deep grief and anger for all the neglect that had been going on all those years.
I recalled memories of when my soul had led me through experiences of growth, always patient with my small mind. But I behaved like a lost little kid, whining about nothing, thinking life was about doing, accumulating, maximizing, and controlling. Then, an immense opening occurred, and experiences started appearing in my life as miracles. However, my small mind's protective system, or defense mechanism as I call it, came into play as the commanding officer of this ship, saying, "Whatever you've experienced is just a dream. Go back to doctors with degrees who have the real answers." And so the left-brain ego tried to diminish my own light and inner healer.
Backward I went, followed by excruciating inner turmoil. Everyone has their journey, and no single 'right' path exists. I quickly learned that chaos and resistance, in any form—whether in moments of confusion, forgetfulness, discomfort, or when aspects of life are in disarray—are simply the loving language of the soul-spirit complex encouraging us to listen and pay attention. Pain is just energy and information; our higher self knows far more than this finite network of thought processes we consider our mind. Experiencing pain isn't a malicious message; it is a call to relearn the language of our soul. Sometimes, our perception, filters, and lenses require complete cleansing and renewal to rebuild a stable and sustainable structure.
We are taught that negative emotions or pain, in general, are awful, but that's not the entirety of our complex and intricate communication system. In many energy medicine systems, including the timeless Taoist vibrational sciences, we learn that specific energy centers, meridians, and physical elements of our body reflect valuable lessons that we can transform into healing power. Yet, over time, we've grown used to categorizing and defining everything in our modern lives, losing touch with this innate wisdom.
We are often presented with maps and charts explaining, for example, that the lungs hold grief and the spleen holds worry—but each individual's energetic and spiritual bodies express a unique, dynamic fingerprint, one that interacts with multidimensional light codes and aspects of infinite intelligence. It's not as simple as saying inflammation is just the result of anger. We might instead ask: what quality of fire is being suppressed, repressed, or expressed? Where does the true imbalance lie? Nobody has that answer, only you, the real you.
Our soul's technology is amazingly vast, and more of us are moving through veil after veil of understanding, revelation, and awakening. Life changes from here on out. If you ever feel as though you're going backward, trust that it's part of the journey. Take time to reconnect and truly listen to what your own process is leading you toward. Expansion and emergence into a brighter, more magical life are there for those who seek them.
In this context, I want to share a recent experience from my life: the surgery and healing journey my life partner and husband, Jason, underwent. This process has been significant for both of us as we explore why our incredible bodies communicate in certain ways and what those communications may represent for each of us. However, I feel that oversimplifying inflammation and growths in our physical body as mere manifestations of distortions and deep wounds accumulated over lifetimes misses a more essential aspect of development: the cycles of death and rebirth, the ending of one era, and the beginning of another.
Carrying our 'heavy backpacks' filled with notions such as 'this happened to me... that's why....' narratives is no longer relevant, appropriate, or useful. There's no need to revisit these stories over and over, perpetuating the small mind's misperceptions of life. Overanalyzing only serves to limit our evolution. Instead, we must let go—actually release the old—and build anew, fully stepping into unknown ground, unsure of how, what, when, or where. This is where we find ourselves NOW, in a new era and a new beginning.
Can this ever be an easy process? It may not be as challenging as it seems if we recognize that difficulty primarily resides in the small mind. Our souls know the true nature and purpose of our being and everything around us, so why the continued concern and resistance?
We are in a special, magical time. The discomfort our minds experience in this three-dimensional reality is there to return us to our true nature, to relearn and reemerge more completely.
Control, false and finite security, accumulation of 'stuff' and knowledge, and victim consciousness no longer serve. The small mind's tendency to polarize and distort simply creates confusion, incompatible with the new energies emerging through Earth and sustaining the critical mass of humanity rediscovering what it means to simply be.
My favorite practice when I experience complexity and rigidity is first checking in with my body. Then, I remind myself that the breath facilitates manifestation. Let me repeat this, which my guidance system clearly spelled out to me: "The Breath Facilitates Manifestation." The 'breath' here is intended as the inspiration from our expanded self that brings true information. True knowing that is indeed beneficial to us in our evolution moving forward; it is information - which is energy, meaning Light - that can support us. This is why I sometimes go on and on about making it a daily ritual to become quiet and still. How can we recognize that amazing feeling of connection, nurturance, and truth if our mirrors are clouded, if thought forms torment and confuse us?
Let's be clear: it's not that only spiritually advanced people can hear their soul, higher self, angels, guides, or allies. This level of consciousness and communication is our true nature. In a world deliberately distracted by consumption, distortion, and illusion, we must reconnect with ourselves to reclaim our innate freedom. This freedom is expanded by full, receptive surrender to our heart-mind, to the wisdom of all ages.
Whether you are experiencing smooth or challenging times, I invite you to simplify as much as possible. A major clearing is happening, but the journey could be smooth or less tumultuous if we recognize our responsibility to clear and purify our inner filters first, allowing us to soften and adopt a less rigid approach to change. We are fully capable of leading, of seeing the next wave—whether big or small—adjusting course, and finding joy in our story, using all experiences as fuel for transformation. Isn't it exciting?
Nothing is missing, nothing needs fixing, and there's nothing else to study, buy, figure out, or do. Time isn't running out, and worrying is a prayer for distortions to manifest. Every experience is homework, an opportunity for self-reflection and growth. When discomfort arises, it's simply the result of inner polarities seeking balance. Our true work lies in becoming comfortable—or, as I see it, coming into dynamic balance. When facing conflict or distress, ask yourself, How can I make myself more comfortable right now? Nothing is more important.
The Egyptian glyph of Ra comes to mind, the Sun god/dess represented by a perfect circle of eternity with a dot in the center - zero point. This energy represents the light within, a fractal of infinite intelligence, and it also speaks of laser focus. All distractions causing illusion and delusion can be dissolved by the brilliance of our own inner fire, and we take action in a completely new way, embodying more of our true nature, more of our own beads of light scattered in all kinds of places along our journey.
