The Sacred Center: Earth’s Wisdom Within

Soul alignment can be facilitated when the Mind of our body is grounded, when we feel that gravity, the invisible force of Earth, pulling us toward her. We are her; she is us. When we know we belong to Earth, when our bodies are strong and tended to mindfully, we remember that our form is a bridge to the higher Mind. Through movement—both internal and external—we prepare the body to release discordant energies and receive communication from the depths of the Earth. This is powerful and necessary for our becoming.

The completion of our essence is a continual unfolding through the layers of our spiritual bodies, allowing us to experience and embrace more of who we truly are. We walk these worlds simultaneously, using our life in the Earthly realm, with our five physical senses expanding to our multidimensional senses, as the sacred instruments for remembering. Engaging in empowering spiritual practices helps us expand our focus and hold a broader perspective.

One portal of immense power is the lower danjeon (dantien), also known as the Earth Palace in some East-Asian energy traditions. It is a master alchemical Mind, capable of holding the universe and transmitting frequencies across our body's multidimensional systems. Represented in ancient symbology by a volcano from which a dragon rises, enclosed in an ethereal square, it reminds me of Wadjet, the Egyptian feminine fiery serpent, a force of intense regeneration and awakening. This is no ordinary center. Though often referred to as the second chakra, that is only one dimension of its structure. The lower danjeon is a convergence of internal and external energy centers (that is why I refer to it as a complex), connecting us to the fiery core of the Earth and radiating out into the fields around us. It is the home of alchemy, transformation, and the spark of awakening.

As our dense physical body responds to Earth's pull, our subtler bodies engage with her codes of light, manifesting through rhythms, cycles, and harmonies. To attune with the natural force of the universe, we cultivate this sacred center, bringing forth the medicine of the planet and aligning with universal laws.

One sign of progress toward a more expanded awareness of who and what we are is noticing that the pendulum's swing in our lives is less drastic. The law of rhythm shows itself in all things. If we react with intensity, the swing will inevitably return that intensity in the opposite direction. There is no escaping this; only learning to move with it, gently and wisely. Observing rather than attaching, consistently and diligently practicing a state of inner balance.

This is the work: connecting. To what? To the million aspects of ourselves. Through presence, grounding, neutrality, and the sense that we belong on and to Earth, we begin to access deeper layers of wisdom, which allow us to integrate more of our essence.”
