Internal Alchemy

Internal Alchemy is one of the essential principles of SunDo practice. This is the process of inner self-realization and transformation, resulting from continuous refinement and cultivation of energy circulation. Balancing yin and yan, water and fire, known as the microcosmic orbit, is proper energy circulation. All levels of discomfort are the result of improper energy circulation. Through posture, breathing, and visualization, one can experience the cosmic orbit. This process cannot be achieved by 'thinking' or by accumulating knowledge, learning the methods through study alone. Often times we think we are practicing energy breathing, but we are still thinking. The natural phenomenon of 'energy breathing' involves including our five physical senses, then expanding to energy senses, our spiritual senses. There are still huge misunderstandings on what we are to do with this physical body. We can't just escape the body to escape suffering or reach a different inner reality. We must practice bringing in more light, accumulating/storing pure light. This allows expansion and growth, a transformation of energy to really 'see' the whole, to experience all life, all realities with our whole being. 

The brain is an instrument of consciousness, and the bridge to accessing our higher vibrations is becoming Rhythm itself versus just living in the 'mental world.' 

We reconnect with the portals to our Soul (the 2nd, 4th, 6th energy centers), restoring, refining, and renewing our energy. We just become more and more connected to Universal Rhythm. Healing and growth involve experiencing the zero point, which allows us to manage our thoughts and emotions and upgrade our quality of thoughts and emotions, elevating the quality of our vibration. 

No thinking, just experience, and continue to sharpen inner and outer 'sight.' Mind is not the process of interpreting, decoding, information; it is soul language, conversing with the cosmic mind.

From a place of no-thing-ness, we create. Spirit moves our Soul through our body; energy dance and sound (such as kigong/qigong) occurs as we deliver vibrations of the language of light.

In a simplified explanation, internal transformation occurs when we awaken and grow the 2nd soul energy center. Energy matures, expanding the awareness of the heart-mind, the 4th soul energy center. Energy refines even more, to awaken the connection to Spirit through the 6th soul energy center.

Mastering involves becoming pure cosmic energy, pure cosmic mind.
